Guadalupe Mountains and Davis Mountains

Jean and I took a week long trip to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park and the Davis Mountains State Park. Guadalupe Peak holds a special place in our hearts because a 11 1/2 years ago Jean agreed to marry me there. After over a decade could we still make it the 4.2 miles and up the 3000 feet of elevation from the parking lot to the highest point in Texas. Watch the video and find out!

Loved seeing your photos. Pity about the footwear.

wow. loved seeing the mountains. Glad it was you coming down that steep slop rather than me! Great to see Fort Davis town - "The highest town in Texas"!. Next time we will visit the fort as well, regardless of whether it is upsidedown or not.
